Christina Yates is an associate with Greene and Roberts where she focuses on civil litigation, primarily for nonprofit clients. Most recently, Christina was the associate general counsel at Gemological Institute of America, Inc. (GIA) where her practice was directed toward intellectual property, technology, litigation, and working with GIA’s laboratory staff and law enforcement to return lost and stolen diamonds to their rightful owners. Prior to joining GIA, Christina worked at DLA Piper for five years in its Intellectual Property and Technology group counseling clients on trademark and copyright issues, and strategizing with clients and advising them on domestic and global trademark portfolios. She also represented clients in state and federal court, as well as in USPTO actions.
Christina is passionate about providing pro bono legal services and has won awards fordoing so. She is also an avid volunteer for causes that are close to her heart.
